RTA Cabinet Designs – Now and Then
Like most other items in the market, RTA cabinets have come across multiple evolutions. In the pre-World War I period used freestanding work tables. Pantry for dry storage and cupboards were also used in kitchens. In the post World War I era systematic kitchen design with the use of linoleum or stainless steel. After World War II high pressure laminates came into use. In the modern era ready to assemble kitchen cabinets made their appearance where linoleum was replaced with solid synthetic materials on the surface. Higher base cabinets with quartz made countertops marks the post modern era kitchen cabinet designs.
